Mike is a pioneer of the high tech industry and the author of the popular new book, Landing On Your Feet. His highly sought after second book; The Four Secrets of the Breakaway Sales Performer will be released in March, 2009. After graduating from Ohio University in 1974, he started his career as a salesman with IBM. His first year on quota he was awarded Rookie of the Year out of 2000 new sales reps, and over five years, he received five 100% Clubs, two Golden Circles, and in 1977 led the nation in new accounts. In 1979, he founded his first technology company, Computer Options, Incorporated, which in 1985 was ranked 149th on INC Magazine’s list of the nations fastest growing companies, reaching $26 million in sales in its first five years. The company reached $65 million in sales before being sold in 1994. He successfully launched two other high tech companies, Maintenance Innovators in 1984, and North Central Consulting in 1993. Both reached multi-million dollar levels and were eventually sold to large international public firms. In 1997, North Central Consulting was ranked by The Business Journal magazine as the second fastest growing company in the state of Minnesota. Today, Mike is the founder and CEO of Endurance America, a ten year old management consulting firm specializing in executive development, strategic planning, corporate culture, and building a world class sales organization. He is a certified executive coach and has facilitated over 100 strategic planning sessions for Fortune 500 companies to small entrepreneurial growth firms. His programs have reached over 200,000 people and he has graduated over 10,000 sales and management people from the Endurance America Academy. He is also a nationally acclaimed keynote speaker. Mike is married, and has four children and three grandchildren. He makes his home in Minnesota.
