Kurt is a recognized leader in human motivation, team development, meeting design, and facilitation. For over fifteen years, Kurt has worked on developing and delivering motivational programs, training sessions, focus groups, team building events, strategy initiatives and interactive meeting sessions that get people to work more productively and effectively.

For the last eight years, Kurt's work has focused in on helping companies increase the motivational level and subsequent performance of their employees. Specific focus has been on increasing the effectiveness of incentive compensation plans for sales representatives, maximizing the use of extrinsic rewards, and developing sales effectiveness blueprints. Utilizing his background in behavior change, these communication and training programs dramatically increase the effectiveness of an organization's incentive programs. For each of the last three years, one out of every four pharmaceutical representatives in the U.S. had their incentive compensation plan rolled out to them by Kurt and his team.

Kurt has also done significant work in the area of improving large and small group meeting dynamics by integrating experiential activities, expert lectures, styles and inventories and gap analysis work. He is the creator of hundreds of custom team-building events for a variety of clients as well as the inventor of Question for the Read Planet!™ and Captain Wit's Great Adventure™.

Over 100,000 people have participated in programs that Kurt has designed or facilitated. Although much of his work has focused on the pharmaceutical industry, he has vast experience in telecommunications, finance and automotive as well as working with a large number of different companies from around the world. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychologists (SIOP), World at Work, Twin Cities compensation Network (TCCN) and the City of Lakes Rotary Club. Kurt has his MBA from the University of Iowa and is an Industrial/Organizational Psychology PhD Candidate at Capella University.
